LA Metro Bus Case Study
DELAYS ANALYSIS
In our recent study of the LA Metro Bus network, we conducted an in-depth analysis of Bus Routes 45 and 260, utilizing General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) feeds and live data collected over a three-day period. This analysis focused on mapping the exact locations and schedules of these routes to monitor their operational efficiency.
The results of our study were visually represented, with the buses' punctuality highlighted on a map. Delays were distinctly marked in red, providing a clear, visual representation of the buses’ timing and reliability. This color-coded approach allowed us to identify specific patterns and areas where delays were most frequent.
By understanding these patterns, LA Metro can implement targeted improvements and planning strategies to enhance the punctuality of these routes. This analysis not only aids in optimizing bus schedules but also contributes to better service reliability and overall passenger satisfaction in the LA Metro system.
